Discovered by Hilary at an Antiques Roadshow at Wollaton Hall in Nottinghamshire, a collection of rare sixteenth century textiles and costume. Evidence suggests that some of the pieces were stitched by Queen Elizabeth I.
Broadcast on Sunday 30th October 2022, the story was picked up by The Daily Telegraph and The Times and was published the following day.
ANTIQUES RIVER CRUISE, FRANCE
The cruise guests and I had great fun recently antique-hunting in the towns and cities along the river Rhône in France. The Show+Tell on board was a good opportunity to see all the treasures purchased and to hear so many hilarious stories of successful (and unsuccessful) bargaining.
Antiques Roadshow IPSWICH
Following a superhuman team effort, Antiques Roadshow was efficiently redesigned to create a safe filming environment. Adhering strictly to all the rules on social distancing during the pandemic, a revolutionary new way of working was developed which ensured the safety of the public and the production team on Antiques Roadshow filming days. (In case you were wondering, yes, I did remove my mask just before the recording and the owner was a measured 2 metres away while we chatted in front of the cameras.)
